It’s a wonderful idea: celebrating your wedding abroad, far away from everyday life, in a special place. And surrounded by the people who matter most to you. Getting married in South Africa, on a Swiss alpine pasture, in Rome - it sounds like a dream come true for couples and their closest friends and family.
Nevertheless, you should expect that when you mention “destination wedding,” not all invited guests immediately picture sunshine and the sea, champagne and cocktails, festivity and escapism. Given the long journey, some have very different associations in mind: people stranded at airports or crowding train platforms because flights have been canceled or train connections have been disrupted. Depending on which countries your guests are traveling from, such scenarios are actually not that far-fetched.
But before you ask yourself: Can I really expect this of my guests? The good news is: As an experienced wedding planner, I’m prepared for such uncertainties. Cancellations, delays, and last-minute changes to plans are becoming an increasingly common part of traveling. That’s not a big deal – as long as we plan for it and I have a Plan B up my sleeve.
The longer the journey, the more points of contact there are: transfers, different providers, and seasonal bottlenecks can all become stumbling blocks – and that’s exactly where I come in.

- Plenty of time to transfer instead of cutting it close – it’s better to transfer with plenty of time to spare than to barely miss your connection.
- In-house ground logistics using private shuttles that operate with flight and train tracking support.
- Comfortable coaches as a backup option on critical routes. Optional: Charter solutions – ranging from regional jets for up to 70 passengers to helicopters for individual travelers.
- Central travel desk with a 24/7 communication channel, including WhatsApp broadcasts such as "I'm delayed" notifications.
- Key people such as the bride and groom, the best man and maid of honor, the officiant, and the photography and videography team may arrive early. This reduces stress and creates the calm atmosphere your big day deserves.

- Flexible tickets with options for rebooking and cancellation.
- Reserves for last-minute rebookings and alternative routes.
- On-site private shuttles, scheduled to coincide with arrival times.
